Dear Friends,
Greetings once again from the Lynches. I apologize for missing the last two editions of our Prayer & Newsletter. So I will try to bring you up to date now.
MINISTRY NEWS: During the past three months we have had the joy of ministering in 15 churches and one Bible Conference in ten states and one province of Canada. The ministry included ten weeks of meetings and six 1-day meetings. We were in seven of the churches for the first time. We thank the Lord for those who were saved in addition to the many responses among those who were already believers. The Lord graciously gave us safety as we traveled across the country and we are thankful. That is not to say, however, that we did not have our usual bouts with the devil and various vehicle difficulties!
One of the highlights was an old-fashioned tent meeting in Lancaster County, PA. Twice that week we had an Amish family attend the service to hear the gospel. Over the four days of meetings there were many unsaved under the sound of the gospel. While there were no outward decisions for Christ, many will be followed up and we trust that there is yet fruit to be borne. One very encouraging Scripture verse is found in Isaiah 55 where we are told that God’s Word will not return to Him void without bearing the fruit He intended and prospering in the thing whereunto He sent it!
NEW MATERIALS NOW AVAILABLE: We have recently printed two collections of violin music. One is a collection of five arrangements (“Sacred Solos”) for advanced solo violin (i.e. without accompaniment) utilizing a good bit of double-stops (you violinists will know what I mean by that). The other is a collection of two classical pieces that I wrote for violin and piano (including the Romance in G and Argentine Gypsy Aire). Both are suitable as competition pieces and are very enjoyable to play.
MISSION NEWS: Lord willing, I will be in the Dominican Republic from January 1-17, 2009 for two weeks of ministry. The first week will involve teaching about the Biblical problems with CCM and the following week will be evangelistic meetings. Please pray for the Lord to begin preparing hearts for that ministry. I have already purchased my ticket for that trip.
I am also scheduled for a three-week trip to Central America in March. Lord willing, I will be in Honduras and Guatemala. One of the major events in Guatemala is an international pastors and Christian workers conference. We still need approximately $3,000 toward that trip.
PRAISE: 1. For the many opportunities to present the gospel.
2. For the Lord working in hearts and for decisions made.
3. For opportunities to serve the Lord on foreign fields.
4. For safety over thousands of miles of travel.
5. For those who have sent special gifts to help with the high cost of fuel.
PRAYER: 1. For more souls to be saved.
2. For needed additional support for our overall ministry both at home and abroad, esp. the funds needed for the Central America mission trip.
3. For continued safety as we travel and good health.
We so much appreciate your prayers for the ministry the Lord has entrusted to us. Be sure to stop by our web site for a look-see now and then. And by all means be sure to stop by and say hello when we are in your area for meetings. Until next time, I pray the Lord will keep each of you in His grace!
Sincerely in Christ,
Ken & Barb Lynch, Eph. 6:19
